Winter is just around the corner and so is the Ultimate Fit Centre Run Club's 2011 Fall and Winter schedule!!!
Starting the Week of October 10th 2011, you will have the option of two group runs a week:
TUESDAY 6:00pm - Intensity training - Tired of doing hill repeats on your own? Wishing you had a Speedy Gonzales out there during your intervals to breathe down your neck? Well then Tuesday nights are for you! Remember that interval training is for EVERYONE. Not only does it increase your cardiovascular system's ability to deal with that nasty lactic acid we've all felt before, but it is also gives a great boost to your metabolism! We will run on a combination of roads and trails.
THURSDAY 6:00pm - Group Run - The Thursday night run is a fun group run; time to unwind with a social jaunt on the Canmore trails in good company. This run is perfect for anyone wanting to explore the fantastic terrain in our backyards, talk shop, swap running stories, and have a laugh.
Please remember that this run club is driven by a dedicated group of runners who are committed to harvesting a community of healthy active people here in Canmore. All like-minded people are sincerely welcome to join us - The more the merrier! Our goal is to provide positive, safe, and inclusive running experiences for ALL ABILITIES where we can push each other to reach our running goals.
One last thing: RUN CLUB IS ABSOLUTELY FREE! There are no membership fees or punch passes to buy. If you feel you want to contribute to our program, we would appreciate donations made to KidSport Bow Valley. Donations can be made in the store. www.kidsport.ab.ca
